New Stuff!

You know I love to knit sooooooo,
I'm going to show you something I bought for it.
These things are just amazing!

I bought 2 sets of interchangeable wooden needles,
* Wood is so much better than steel
or any other slippery needles*,
2 sets of cables to go with the needles,
some stitch separators and some tip protectors.
Now ordinarily, you'd just say they're
just like any other cables or needles you'd buy.
They're not.
For one, the needles screw on tightly
with the help of the tool that comes with them.
Secondly,
don't you just love the colors of those needles?
Third, they also come with thread protectors
for the ends of the cables.
So if you want to stop working
on one project, you can just
put the thread protectors on the ends of
the one you're working on
and put the needles on another cable you want
to work on, so you're not limited to
just one project!
☺ ☺ ☺

I bought these things because you really
can't make any large pieces
with 10 or 12 inch needles.
For example, in this next picture, you can see
2 regular needles that are holding 80 stitches.
Now the brown circle you see is a cable
with 520 stitches on it!

Awesome, isn't it!

To get these wonderful interchangeable sets,
there's only one place that has
these beautiful needles.
You can get them at:

(store if there's one near you, or on line at

So next time you're thinking of
shopping for knitting supplies,

Skin Moisturizers

Ok, does your collection of skin moisturizers look like this?

This is just a small sample of the things I've bought
over the years hoping that one of them
would work on my dry skin.
Alas, not a one of them performed
to my expectations.
But, there was one that I recently received
in a freebie from  KMart that has come close. It's
Nivea Express Hydration.

Now don't get me wrong, it does what I'd hoped
it would do, but, after it soaks in, it actually felt
sticky on my skin.
Go figure.

I do prefer non oily skin lotions that don't make
you feel like you've just dunked yourself in
a vat of kitchen oil and this one doesn't
feel that way either.
It's just sticky.
So I guess my quest for a good skin lotion
is stillongoing since the one I used to use
is now unavailable since they decided
to do away with it.

If any of you out there has a recommendation,
please, let me know!

I Love Knitting! ♥ ♥ ♥

I have several projects going of all
different types including knitting,
tapestry, cross stitch, plastic canvas,
latch hook, macrame, beading, and
jewelry making.
There's morebut I can't think of them
off the top of my head.
But one of my favorite passtimes is knitting.
♥ ♥ ♥
I've been working on this for a couple weeks now,
*usually at night because
I do other things during the day*,
but it's turning out to my liking. ☺
This is a basic stitch with my own color pattern:

I've ordered some long cables with
interchangeable needles in wood,
I love using wood
so I can make some afghans in
patterns and stitches that I've designed myself.
I'm still waiting on my order though. *sigh*
So until I receive my order,
I'll just keep plugging away
at this cute little design.

Guilty Pleasures

Häagen-Dazs®
Coffee Ice Cream

Picture from:

Ok, so you know you all have
1 or 2 or more of those
Guilty Pleasures, right?
Well, here's one of mine:

There's nothing better on a hot afternoon
than a root beer float made with
Häagen-Dazs® Coffee Ice Cream.

Mmmmmmmmmm...
And for some reason, the root beer actually
brings out the flavor of the ice cream!
Häagen-Dazs® Coffee Ice Cream
is all natural and simply delicious!
The only ingredients are:
Cream, Skim Milk, Sugar, Egg Yolks, and Coffee.

It's the only ice cream I purchase,
and I purchase it by the case.
I know, shame on me. lol
But this ice cream is so delicious,
I want to make sure I get it while it's available.
So if you get an urge for ice cream, make sure it's
Häagen-Dazs®!
It's definitely well worth the price
since they don't whip it up to add air
or any other fillers
so you actually get more than you think!
It also comes in 2 sizes,
quarts, and pints.
I HIGHLY recommend
Häagen-Dazs® Ice Cream
over any other brand.
You won't be disappointed.
Oh, and I'm having some just
as soon as I finish writing this up. ;)

Garnier Nutritioniste™ Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller

Disclaimer:
The review you see here is my personal opinions only
and do not reflect the opinions of any other person or entity.
I bought this product myself at a local store.

Sooner or later we all find that we wake up with
puffy eyes and those dreaded dark circles.
*Say it isn't so! :O*
Yes, it happens to the best of us at one time or another.
Luckily, there's help!
For various reasons, I've had a problem with those dreaded
dark circles and the occasional puffy eyes.
Wandering through my local stores, I came across:

Garnier Nutritioniste™'s
Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller

Now keep in mind that I've tried dozens
of products that claim they remove those
dark circles and various other promises too.
Buying it and taking it home was just like all the rest,
thinking ok, this will be the same as all the other things I've tried.
WRONG!
I was pleasantly surprised when within a week,
those dark circles were really fading!
And the puffy eyes?
GONE!
2 weeks later, NO DARK CIRCLES AT ALL!
I can't tell you how excited I was about not
having those dark circles or puffy eyes!
I just put it on every morning before my makeup
and things are wonderful all day long!
But you have to make sure you use it every morning!
You can buy it at almost any local drug
store or even a large department store.
So ladies, *and even men*,
if you want to get rid of the dark circles
or the puffy eyes or both, I recommend

Garnier Nutritioniste™'s
Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller!

It's a wonderful product that actually does what it claims!
